Shepard Ager

Shepard Ager joined Ironvest Partners in 2018 as an associate salesperson specializing in buyer and seller representation of end user, redevelopment, and investment properties.   An expert in Southside and Downtown Birmingham commercial real estate, he makes a point to meet and speak with property owners in his market on a regular basis. His expertise and unique understanding of off-market opportunities allows him to add value for his clients. Through his invaluable market knowledge, Shepard has recruited new development to Birmingham on projects ranging in size from the adaptive reuse of smaller warehouse buildings to the ground up development of a 300-unit market rate apartment complex.   He has most recently represented national developers such as the Novare Group and Prestwick Companies of Atlanta and Hallmark Campus Communities of Columbus, OH.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Shepard graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in marketing.  He started his sales and brokerage career in logistics where he worked with both national and international clients.  He is also a member of Birmingham Rotaract where he serves on the social committee.  Shepard’s passion for meeting new people combined with his creativity and knack for orchestrating deals led to him to his role of specializing in buyer and seller representation.

Shepard, his wife Sally, and their children Virginia and John Shepard live in Vestavia.   They attend church at All Saints Episcopal Church in Homewood.  Shepard also has a strong passion for the outdoors.  In March and April, when not in the office, you can find Shepard spending his mornings in the woods turkey hunting and his nights at home in the doghouse for spending too much time in the woods.
